AIM Herbal Fiberblend Formulator

Teresa Schumacher Sometimes things just work out right.

For Teresa Schumacher, it was a dream and a wish come true. For Ron Wright and Dennis Itami, it was a blessing. For AIM Members, it has become the second most used product in the company. Talk about win-win-win. The right people with the right product at the right time. It is the story of AIM Herbal Fiberblend®.

Credit for the formula goes to Teresa. Ron Wright, the president, CEO, and co-owner of The AIM Companies™, recalls the time some 20 years ago when he first met Teresa. He had heard about her from Dennis Itami, co-owner of the company. He stopped to visit with her in St. George, Utah, on his way back to Idaho from Arizona. “We had lunch and Teresa began telling me about the success she was having in helping ill people get better by cleaning out their colons with a formula she had developed. She showed me pictures of parasites that the formula had cleansed from the colon of a lady who was not supposed to have long to live but was now doing very well.

“Teresa told me her dream was to be able to get this formula to market in a canister and be able to sell it for an affordable price, at a price where people could purchase a month’s worth of it at a time. The ingredients she was putting into it were costing about $100 for two weeks’ worth. She knew she had something that could help people but not at that cost.”

Ron told Teresa he would do what he could to help her realize her dream, in exchange for AIM having the exclusive right to distribute the product. He made arrangements to purchase the various herbs and ingredients in her formula, to have them packaged in a canister for Teresa to market, track the results, and report back to AIM. “I wanted to make sure we had a safe product before we put this into the AIM line,” says Ron. “It didn’t take long for the reports to begin coming in,” remembers Ron. “Good things were happening to people. Wow, we knew after nine months of testing that we had a winning product. What a blessing. We were off and running with another product in the AIM line and have never looked back. We needed another product right then to go with our green barley powder.”

For Teresa, AIM Herbal Fiberblend® was another success in a long list that would not have happened without, she says, “a guardian angel watching over me.” Teresa grew up in Italy during World War II. “The Allied planes would take pictures during the day and then bomb at night. But one day another girl and I decided to seek shelter during the day. Bombs did drop and all were killed in the building except the two of us. We were buried for three days and had to be dug out. There was a guardian angel watching over me.”

Marriage brought Teresa to the United States and Wyoming. She has two daughters and three sons. One of her daughters,
Toni Lund, is very involved in the AIM business. She and Teresa are both Chairman’s Club Members.

Once established in Wyoming, Teresa continued the work ethic and success that began back home in Italy where, at age 15, she was a successful dressmaker with four girls working for her. In Wyoming she sold a variety of family products and had to learn to drive (her first ride in a car came at age 19) to make the business a success. She became an area manager for the company. Then, “I needed to support my kids,” so she began selling insurance for Mutual of Omaha. She was the only female agent in the state and became number one in sales. Another change was in the works. She began selling ladies’ undergarments and make-up because “I like to work with products, I like to help people.” She was so successful that the company sent her to Italy for two years to establish the product line there. “But I came back to the U.S. to raise my family. They were getting older and needed an on-site parent.” She also began working for a company with a line of health products.

Along the way, Teresa developed an interest in herbs and the natural healing power of the body. She remembers why. “Once I arrived in the United States, I got very sick due to the change in diet. The food we eat has a lot to do with how our body acts. I was constipated and went to a clinic but got no help. I was sick, had three kids, and was having trouble walking. Then a couple of hippies told me about massage and herbs, I got better, and I began to study nutrition.” She learned about different herbs and what they can do for the body. “It was more of a hobby than a career. I began to work with a lady who had been sick for three months. I went to my herb shelf, mixed them myself, she started passing parasites, and she got better.” Then began her dream of finding a way to purchase, blend, and sell her herbal remedy. She knew about AIM because its green barley product had helped a friend of hers. Dennis Itami heard of her, told his partner Ron, and the rest is AIM history.

Teresa says the most inspirational people in her life have been Ron Wright and the president of the first health company she worked for. “From the president of Constan Industries I learned about the Hunza people in the Himalayas – how they lived a healthy, disease-free life, and lived to a very old age. If we take care of our bodies we can live a long, healthy life.”

Ron Wright is an inspiration because “he is a man of his word. He told me he would help me realize my dream of getting my formula into powder form and he did. He said he would help me get it into the AIM line, and he did, even though the AIM president at that time didn’t want it. Ron doesn’t give up.”

Daughter Toni is thankful her mother struck up an affiliation with AIM. She has prospered financially – “I spent 10 years working in Wyoming and Colorado in the grocery business for a pension of $61 per month, a long way from my ‘retirement’ pay from AIM” – plus AIM products have made a difference in her family’s health. Two of her children had asthma. She started them on green barley powder mixed with apple juice and the asthma attacks stopped. Toni herself suffered from joint pain until taking AIM BarleyLife®. “I immediately went into detox, which lasted two weeks, but the end result was no more joint pain. That really made a believer out of me in AIM BarleyLife®.”

A resident of St. George for more than 30 years, Teresa says, “It is like living in Italy again. Great weather, no snow, roses in March.”

Who Teresa is in life very much goes back to the bombing days during the war. “World War II didn’t kill me. It taught me to take responsibility for myself.” That sense of responsibility resulted in a variety of success stories including home product sales, insurance sales, herbs, ladies’ wear, health products, opening up an entire country for a company, and, for AIM, its number two selling product, AIM Herbal Fiberblend®.

“The day I met Teresa was one of the most important days in AIM’s future,” says Ron. “I tried to help her make her dream come true. We helped her, she helped us, and together we have helped so many people. It is a good feeling.”

Flax Seed: Nature's richest source of lignans

Protect Your Health … Add AIM FibreBalance™ to your daily diet

FiberBalanceby Janice McColl, B.S.P., M.Sc., M.H.

Flax seed (Linum usitatissimum) is the richest known source of lignans, containing a concentration more than 100 times greater than other lignan-containing foods such as grains, fruits, and vegetables. Lignans are naturally-occurring substances found in plants and are classified as phytoestrogens, plant compounds that can modulate the metabolism and use of estrogen. During the past five decades, more than a thousand studies have examined the role of phytoestrogens in maintaining health and in protecting against or modifying disease.

Lignans have numerous biological effects, including protection against heart disease and osteoporosis, as well as cancer. Women with hormone-dependent breast cancer have been found to have low dietary intake of lignans. Similarly, those men who consume large amounts of lignan-rich plants have a lower incidence of prostate cancer. The potent anti-cancer effects of lignans, especially in hormone sensitive cancers, like breast and prostate cancer, are becoming widely acknowledged and accepted by the scientific community.

There are a number of reasons why we all should be interested in incorporating more lignans into our diet on a daily basis. One of the most compelling is that lignans have potent anti-cancer effects. An impressive number of studies have shown that flax seed lignans are very potent anti-cancer agents for hormone sensitive cancers because of their ability to modulate the production, availability, and action of hormones produced in our bodies. Extensive studies on both breast and colon cancer indicate that flax seed may play an important role in cancer prevention as well as treatments. Dr. Lilian Thompson, professor in the Department of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Toronto, has performed clinical trials with flax seed in breast cancer patients. This work was done in conjunction with Dr. Paul Goss, director of the breast cancer prevention program at the Princess Margaret Hospital and the Toronto Hospital. The study involved 50 women diagnosed with breast cancer. While waiting for surgery, half the women received muffins containing 25 grams of milled flax seed daily, while the other half received ordinary muffins. The women who received the flax seed muffins had slower-growing tumors compared to the other group.

Flax seed has been studied most extensively in hormone-sensitive cancers (breast, prostrate, and colon) because of its known effects on hormone levels. However, flax seed has been found to have broad anti-cancer effects and is able to modify all three stages of cancer development: initiation, tumour development, and growth and metastases (spread of cancer). Lignans may be largely responsible for these anti-cancer effects. Overall flax seed has tremendous potential in the area of cancer prevention and treatment.

The flax seed in AIM FibreBalance™ is supplied by Bioriginal and is trademarked LignaMax™. This flax seed possesses the power of an omega-3 rich milled flax with the advantage of increased stability. LignaMax™ is a partially defatted flax product offering 25% more lignans and fibre, than the regular milled flax seed with 25% fewer calories.

AIM Pro Bone (Canada)

According to the Osteoporosis Canada organization, 25 percent of women – that’s one woman in four – over the age of 50 suffer from osteoporosis. Although most women are aware of the need for calcium to maintain strong, healthy bones, it may surprise you to learn that half as many Canadian men also have this disease. Health Canada recommends the same amount of dietary calcium for both men and women: 1000-1300 mg daily. Children and teenagers require calcium to accommodate their growing skeletal systems, so careful food choices and supplementation are always wise. Osteoporosis or its precursor, osteopenia, can develop at any age if prevention is not part of your game plan. Probone

If bone integrity wasn’t enough to get you thinking, consider this: several studies in the past few years have linked high-calcium diets to weight loss. Given the increasing rate of obesity and associated conditions in North America, extra weight is um is also required for proper functioning of muscles (including the heart!) and nerves, so it only makes sense to introduce a high quality calcium supplement into your daily routine.

So you know you need calcium – but not just any calcium will do. Because you’ve come to expect the best from AIM, AIM Pro Bone® stands out in the crowd. With a delicious natural orange flavour, this easily absorbable powder is sweetened with stevia extract so it won’t affect blood sugar levels. AIM Pro Bone® contains no artificial additives and uses only a touch of beta-carotene for colour.

AIM Pro Bone® also contains citric and malic acids, both of which contribute to increased calcium absorption. Known mostly for its beneficial effect on fibromyalgia, malic acid is an alpha-hydroxy or fruit acid, usually derived from apples. These two natural acids are involved in the Krebs cycle, which is how energy is produced at the cellular level.

Action of medicinal ingredients and content in one scoop (3 g):

Calcium (375 mg) citrate/malate: You may be familiar with calcium carbonate, a poorly absorbed form of calcium from limestone. However, our bodies aren’t made to absorb rocks, and carbonate therefore requires a robust digestive system. When calcium is bonded with citric and malic acids, it forms calcium citrate and malate. These forms can be easily ionized, absorbed and utilized, even by people with weak digestion. Greater bioavailability means that your body can make use of the mineral rather than excreting it or resulting in constipation as many people find with cheap calcium supplements.

L-lysine (300 mg) hydrochloride: Amino acids are the building blocks of protein, which form collagen, bone, and connective tissue. Lysine is an essential amino acid: the body cannot make it and must therefore get it through diet or supplementation. Many people keep L-lysine in the house for cold sores and healthy immunity, but this amino acid is also widely recognized for its ability to enhance the absorption of calcium into the bloodstream and to prevent its excretion. In addition, the body needs lysine for growth and tissue repair, and it is directly involved in the production of L-carnitine (a non-essential amino acid), which assists in the proper utilization of fats.

Vitamin D (2.5 mcg/100 IU): Vitamin D helps in the absorption and use of not only calcium but also phosphorus, which is another crucial element for the strength of the bone matrix. Maintaining an adequate level of vitamin D has been linked with a decreased risk of several degenerative conditions such as autoimmune disorders and osteoarthritis. In addition, it has been used in the treatment of psoriasis.

Recommended use: AIM Pro Bone® is a carefully considered formula, intended to support lifetime health of the bones and teeth. Taking one or two 2-scoop servings of AIM Pro Bone® daily ensures an ample calcium supply in your bloodstream for maintenance and repair tasks. If serum levels are low, calcium will be pulled from the bones; this demineralization, or bone resorption, weakens the bone structure and sacrifices bone density. By enhancing phosphorus and calcium absorption and retention, AIM Pro Bone® may help prevent osteoporosis and permit strong, healthy bones from childhood through the senior years.

A little AIM Herbal Fiberblend goes a long way

Herbal FiberblendIf there is an AIM product that is right for the times,
it is AIM Herbal Fiberblend®

Digestive problems are considered the number one health problem in North America. Most digestive problems can be traced to a diet lacking in fiber and to intestinal tract disorders resulting from a colon that doesn’t function as well as it should. Enter AIM Herbal Fiberblend® and its no-nonsense formula that addresses both those concerns.

According to an article in WebMD, there are four warning signs of a diet lacking fiber.
(1) Constipation is the most obvious sign. It is defined as an individual having fewer than three bowel movements per week and/or the stools are hard and dry.
Be aware of (2) weight gain. Proper fiber intake results in a person feeling full after a meal. A lack of fiber, therefore, can have the opposite feeling, meaning a person doesn’t feel full so continues to put away the calories. More calories equal more weight.

Another warning, though not as well-known as being associated with lack of fiber, is (3) blood sugar fluctuation. Fiber delays the absorption of sugar, which in turn assists in controlling blood sugar levels. So more fiber can aid in battling diabetes and diabetes-related symptoms.

Not feeling so well? (4) Diet-related nausea and fatigue can signal a diet lacking in fiber. If your diet is composed of foods without a lot of fiber – meats, eggs, and cheese for example – your calories have too much emphasis on protein and not enough on fiber. An accompanying problem with too much protein and not enough fiber is high cholesterol.

AIM Herbal Fiberblend® is formulated to add fiber to the diet and to introduce herbs into the digestive tract to cleanse and detoxify the colon. A clean, well-functioning colon is less likely to be a source of infections and disease and reduces the need for additional calories to feed the body because the colon wall is clean thus permitting needed nutrients to enter the body’s various systems using a minimum amount of caloric intake.

AIM Herbal Fiberblend® provides two types of fiber, water-soluble fiber and insoluble fiber. Daily fiber intake is recommended at 25 to 30 grams per day, with a ratio of three parts insoluble fiber to one part water-soluble fiber. The average North American consumes 10-15 grams of fiber daily. Adding AIM Herbal Fiberblend® to the diet at the suggested serving level of one tablespoon twice daily adds up to 10 grams of fiber. Fiber is found only in plants and fruits and has no calories.

The fiber value of AIM Herbal Fiberblend® is only one-half of the benefit of the product. It also cleanses the colon through a tested combination of herbs and other ingredients that promote cleansing by eliminating toxins from the body and from various organs. The ingredient names are pretty exotic sounding but the key point is that they work. For example, the U.S. ingredients list includes alfalfa leaves, black walnut hulls, capsicum (fruit), cascara sagrada, hibiscus flower, Irish moss, licorice root, marshmallow root, mullein leaves, oatstraw, passionflower leaves, psyllium husks, pumpkin seeds, rose hips, senna, shavegrass, slippery elm bark, violet leaves, witch hazel leaves, and yucca root. The combination helps relieve constipation, reduces cholesterol, reduces and eliminates internal parasites, lubricates the intestinal tract, has anti-inflammatory characteristics, and soothes stomach cramps.

Tracy Brown“AIM Herbal Fiberblend® is a godsend to my life,” says Tracy Brown, a Wholesale Member from Redondo Beach, California (pictured with husband, Jim). “Last year was probably the worst year for me health-wise. I continued to get the flu, chronic sinus infections, bronchitis, and pain in my left abdomen area. I was convinced that there was a twist or blockage in my intestines. I went for many tests – ultrasound, CT, MRI, colonoscopy – and was put on lots of different kinds of medicines but with no relief. I was becoming more stressed and depressed as the months passed. Finally, I was diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome. I tried several different products with fiber and they worked sometimes but the pain remained.
“Then a friend told me about AIM Herbal Fiberblend® and she sent me a bottle. I have been using it religiously one or two times a day and I can say that I am really on my way to a clean system and, just as important, I have no pain. I believe this will be a life-long product for me and I want to shout out to everyone how well this product works. I hope that I can help someone else who needs this product.”

Robert and Geneva ProctorPreferred Members Robert and Geneva Proctor, Peoria, Arizona, are big believers in the value of AIM Herbal Fiberblend®. They write:
“We have been using AIM Herbal Fiberblend® for more than three years. We really believe it has given us life. Geneva was having to use enemas daily but since we started using the product our colons are clean naturally – no more strain and long hours in the bathroom. It also gives you energy and who wouldn’t want more of that.
“Geneva has cancer and if she didn’t take AIM Herbal Fiberblend®, she would be in a lot more pain. We have been told cancer begins in the colon. We wish we knew about AIM Herbal Fiberblend® 30 years ago. Our bodies are natural and we need natural products to give us better health. It just makes sense. If this helps one person then we have done well by sharing it.”

But what are the health problems and concerns that can be aided by a fiber-rich diet and by a colon not clogged and partially blocked by the processed foods and unhealthy eating habits so common in today’s style of living and eating?
• High cholesterol (a factor in heart disease), according to WebMD, can be reduced by 0.5 percent to 2 percent for every gram of soluble fiber taken daily. Soluble fiber binds to cholesterol thus helping rid it from the digestive system.
• Studies show that a high fiber diet can reduce the risk of diabetes by 28 percent. By contrast, in women for example, a diet lacking fiber but high in sugar can more than double the risk of contracting type 2 diabetes.
• Cancer is one scary word and, according to the National Cancer Institute, about one-third of cancer deaths may be diet-related. Studies show that a diet filled with fiber and drinking plenty of liquids may reduce the risks of some forms of cancer.
• Hemorrhoids, which are swollen veins near the anus and the lower rectum, normally develop when stools are hard and difficult to pass. The straining can be reduced by softer stools – one of the intents of the fiber in AIM Herbal Fiberblend® and the colon cleansing properties in the product.
• Irritable bowel syndrome is marked by cramping, bloating, gas, diarrhea, and constipation. Relief, as with hemorrhoids, is best realized by a fiber-loaded diet aiding softer, easier-to-pass stools.

AIM Herbal Fiberblend® is the ideal product as a source of fiber and cleansing herbs to aid in bowel regularity, scouring the intestinal walls, and ridding the body of toxins. AIM Canada has the AIM Herbal Fiberblend® formula, however, AIM Cascara Sagrada™ is sold separately.

AIM's $mart$tart = Dynamic Networking with Loren Schiele

Loren Schiele When working properly, network marketing multiplies each business builder’s efforts over and over again providing exponential growth and great rewards. Instead of a one person sales force accomplishing a little, you end up with many people working together to accomplish a lot. To better understand what is possible, consider a simple example. A Member sponsors four Members who in turn go out and sponsor two Members each. Those two Members sponsor two who in turn sponsor two and so forth.

The result is a multiplying of efforts. Figure 1 shows this example of how one Member can increase to 61 Members. Figure 2 shows the exponential growth, from a theoretical standpoint, that occurs as each Member reaches out to share with others. Actual results depend on how much each individual Member purchases, how often each Member purchases, whether or not Members stay active, and how many (if any) people each Member sponsors.

Prior to $mart$tart™, Members had to accumulate 450 points within a consecutive three-month period before receiving compensation.

Now AIM’s $mart$tart™ pays every Member a 20 percent commission on the first purchase of each Member they sign up (sponsor). Plus AIM pays all the standard commissions that are earned via AIM’s Opportunity Compensation Plan Compensation plan. The Opportunity Compensation Plan pays an organizational commission – that is commission based on your AIM title. This means that Members who are sharing with others can earn an additional 6 to 18 percent for a total of 26 to 38 percent on the first purchase of those they sponsor. But it doesn’t stop there. As a Director, your new Member points also go toward earning bonuses. So there is tremendous incentive to introduce the AIM products and AIM membership to new people.

With great incentives given to every Member to share with others, your sales force will increase causing growth to occur. That is what makes networking dynamic. We’ve had tremendous products for a long time, and good reports abound. With the addition of AIM’s $mart$tart™ program, we now also have a tremendous income opportunity.
