Fountain of Youth

Kathie Fitzpatrick is a busy woman, alancing work, ministry, writing, speaking, … and everything else in between.

“AIM BarleyLife® helps me stay on a busy schedule that would be impossible for some people my age,” she says. “But shhhhh! Nobody knows. I am often mistaken for about 38-45 or so!”

Kathie’s busy schedule would be an understandable excuse for fatigue or aging, yet she juggles all her different activities with ease. Kathie works full-time as a real estate agent and income property owner in Yakima, Washington. In addition to her day job, she is the head of a non-profit youth services organization called Young Lion’s Youth Ministry Program, a ministry that is used worldwide for youth detention. She travels to various speaking engagements and holds performances for teenagers, wearing a leather jacket or rhinestone pants. Even the kids don’t know how old Kathie is.

“They don’t guess my age, or they might not listen to me as well as they do now,” she says.
In the midst of this activity, Kathie has had to deal with tragedy as well.

In the summer of 2001, Kathie’s youngest daughter, Karen Lee, perished in a forest fire. She was 18 at the time, the youngest of four firefighters who died, and the tragic story gained national attention.

As a tribute, Kathie wrote a book in memory of her youngest daughter.
“I finished my book, Angel Promises … Remembering the Youngest Firefighter, in June of last year, and we opened at Border’s bookstore as a national event for the book chain complete with reporters and news cameras.”

And through it all, Kathie credits BarleyLife for keeping the years off.

“Throughout the years, the schedule of working in real estate, writing, speaking, meeting news media, maintaining a 4,000-square-foot home and yard – well, I certainly learned to reach for BarleyLife on a regular basis to find physical strength,” she says.

Kathie was first introduced to a green barley product 25 years ago when she and her late husband were working as producers for a Christian broadcasting station in California. Life back then was almost as hectic as it is for Kathie today.

“At age 36, I was a busy mother of three children, and my youngest, Karen Lee, was only 3 months old. We produced as many as 14 programs at once in some periods of time, and were very busy both in the studio and on location.”

Some of the programs that the station produced were nationally and internationally syndicated, including “Accent on Health,” a well-known nutrition and wellness show. During production of “Accent on Health,” Kathie kept hearing from guests and health experts about a wonderful new barley product that they encouraged her to try. And once she did, she never went back.

“The main thing we’ve learned about BarleyLife is the extra energy it gives you,” Kathie says. “One teaspoon mixed in one glass with ice is about ‘10 hours of jet fuel,’ they kidded us. Also the rebuilding of the cells was a very important issue with BarleyLife.

“Well, with the long hours I put in between the TV production world, the home, and the kids, good old BarleyLife was a welcome discovery.”

“I still look good, feel good, and have no health problems,” Kathie says. “In November I will be 61 years old. I really don’t feel any different than when I was 30. That’s the bottom line.”

Obstacles can be incentives for great accomplishment

Dene ColeDene Cole is a walking, one-person MASH unit. Diabetic (1968), blind (1983), victim of a stroke (1992), heart attack (2002), kidney failure (2003). And those are just an outline of his physical challenges. Along the way he lost his first wife, Nell, after 14 years to complications from diabetes. “When Nell passed away, it was very difficult readjusting my life because we were a team for 14 years.”

But in talking with Dene, you wouldn’t know he has endured more than his share of difficulties since being diagnosed with juvenile diabetes in 1968. His first shot of insulin came at age 5. “If my problems are all I thought about, I wouldn’t be very useful in life. To dream and make your life a beacon for others to follow is a great endeavor and a big responsibility. When you live life that way, you don’t have time to be sorry for yourself and you can’t help others to thrive and grow. If you only cope, you lose hope.”

Dene, an AIM Director, is the son of Dave and Linda Cole, Royal Emerald Directors from Washington state. In 1996 Linda was diagnosed with cancer. Mom called her son for advice. “Mom, walk by faith, not by sight,” Dene told her. “I have done that,” says Linda. “Dene has been my example of walking by faith through the obstacles of life. He does not give up or give in to the health challenges he faces daily. Dene keeps on a steady path moving forward. He has always been a positive thinker. He adjusts his life and choices according to each new health challenge.”

Dene credits his faith, attitude, parental support – “a lot of times it feels great but at times I feel like an adult being watched by my loved ones for the next failure of my body” – and AIM products for his survival. He pretty much takes all the AIM products. “AIM products help me survive and heal and do the work God has put before me. I am alive and doing awesome. AIM products have helped my body come back to balance and become more alkaline, the way the body is designed to be.”

It was Linda who influenced her son to try the AIM products. “My mother told me about the products, kind of told me to take them. After being on AIM BarleyLife® and AIM Herbal Fiberblend® for awhile I felt they were working for me.”

Dene’s daily regimen includes the use of AIM products and kidney dialysis. He has been a dialysis patient since May 2003. At first, it was hemodialysis but Dene says the “needles and other stuff involved with that type of dialysis are hard to deal with.” So he is now on peritoneal dialysis. In 2007 a tube was surgically inserted into his abdomen. Now, every day he plugs into a home dialysis unit on his bedroom dresser. The unit is about the size of a VCR. Dene is one of about 150,000 patients worldwide using peritoneal dialysis. His blood is cleansed of water, salts, and waste.

While Dene has a very supportive family, he also now has a second wife, Ann. They dated for a year prior to marrying in November 2007. They met through the Internet on Match.com, became friends, then married. “Both of us decided getting married was our next step in life, so we did it.” Dene now has a cat and a stepson, Taylor, age 10. Ann works for Boeing in the accounting department following 12 years at Microsoft®.

The Dene Coles make their home in Dene’s hometown, Marysville, Washington, which is located at the base of the Cascade Mountains along Interstate 5. It is close to many lakes and rivers and, when Dene was growing up, it was pretty much a farming community, but not so much any more due to growth in the area. Dene describes it as a “good area to live in. We are close to the mountains, it is a short drive to saltwater, we can fish, hike, or swim in a lake.”

Dene, now 45, worked in the ferries division for the Washington Department of Transportation on the help desk then as an administrator for eight years (totaling 12 years) until his health no longer permitted it, retiring in 2003. Retired, yes; idle, no. Far from it. Dene composes music, writes books, grows vegetables in his garden, and his newest endeavor is converting a gasoline-powered car into an electric solar vehicle. Dene, the oldest of three children, lives by a couple of simple standards, says Linda. One is, “Where there is hope, there is life.” The other, “Never give up or give in.” Says Linda: “We are blessed and proud to have Dene as our son.”

No doubt plenty of people have given Dene lots of advice during the years, but it is something from his grandfather, Frank, that has stuck with him. “Look where you are at, stop and think before moving forward, measure twice, and cut once.” That bit of caution carries forward when Dene is asked how best to handle an issue or problem. “Be still and listen for God,” advises Dene. “Sometimes it is a small voice. At other times, a loud voice in your mind.”
If a problem or challenge has any chance of being overcome, it takes a combination of three things – determination, patience, and courage. To keep moving in those areas, says Dene, he relies on three other factors – faith, hope, and love. “These three keep me focused and moving.”

Clichés about dealing with adversity are everywhere. “Do you see the glass half full, or half empty?” Or, “When the going gets tough, the tough get going.” And, “The trick is to make lemonade out of lemons.” We have all heard them, and plenty of others.

For Dene, life is not a cliché, his motivation does not necessarily come from something once said by someone. For him, it is really pretty simple: “I run the race by keeping my eyes on Christ.”

Don't let your brain cells die without a fight

Alzheimer’s disease is now the most common form of dementia, a term that refers to the loss of memory and other intellectual abilities.

Alzheimer’s occurs as a result of dying brain cells. As we age, the brain, along with the rest of our body, changes, and we can often experience occasional forgetfulness or slowed thinking. For a person with Alzheimer’s, tiny mistakes intensify into serious memory loss, confusion, and brain damage.

Two possible causes of damage to brain function are plaques and tangles. Plaques, which contain a protein called beta-amyloid, are found between nerve cells; tangles, a form of the protein tau, reside inside dying cells. Together, plaques and tangles can disrupt the communication from cell to cell and damage the nerve network.

While there is no cure for Alzheimer’s, there have been several treatment options that have taken ground across the country.

Perhaps the most popular supplement for brain function is Ginkgo biloba, which is found in AIM GinkgoSense™. Ginkgo biloba has both antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, which would allow it to protect and regulate the important brain cells that become susceptible to Alzheimer’s.

GinkgoSense offers 120 mg of the Ginkgo extract in each capsule, yet it is far from the only brain-aiding supplement found in the product.

GinkgoSense also contains docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), an essential fatty acid and the building block of human brain tissue. Sixty percent of the brain is fat, and DHA is the most abundant fat in the brain. DHA’s most important role might be its hand in the communication between the brain and nervous system. Like many brain components, DHA decreases and breaks down with age, so replenishing our bodies’ natural supply becomes more important as we get older.

In addition to Ginkgo biloba and DHA fatty acids, GinkgoSense also combines bilberry, lutein, and zeaxanthin. Together, the ingredients can help increase brain function, improve circulation, and blood flow. Janet Breitkreutz

Increasing cardiovascular health and the circulation of blood throughout the body could certainly make a difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s. As Janet stated in her testimony, the benefits of an improved blood supply are good for the whole body, including the brain.

As such, coenzyme Q10 could be an important supplement for those concerned about Alzheimer’s disease. CoQ10, also called ubiquinone, is a vital antioxidant that the body uses for increased oxygenation of cells and the generation of energy. Peak EnduranceIts role in the process of normal cell reactions relates to the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the body’s primary source of energy and the key component of AIM Peak Endurance®. CoQ10 is present in cell membranes where the conversion process of food to energy occurs.

Research shows that CoQ10 might also be an important factor in reducing the buildup of plaque in the brain. Since some plaque deposits result from an abundance of brain cell damage from oxidative stress, CoQ10 might be able to lessen the effect thanks to its protection against oxidation.

CoQ10’s role in building cells, creating energy, and cardio health makes it a valuable resource for those interested in dealing with Alzheimer’s. AIM Cellsparc 360® contains 60 mg of CoQ10 in each capsule, and thanks to its formulation with tocotrienols and fish oil, Cellsparc 360 is a health product like no other on the market.Wendell Wamboldt

Omega fatty acids have been credited with a lot of health benefits, everything from lowering blood pressure, improving skin, and enhancing anti-inflammatory response. They also may be a key to brain health.

Omega-3 fatty acids might be effective for strengthening nerve cells, an area that is often where the breakdown in Alzheimer’s occurs. Researchers found that omega-3s improve the growth of bridges between cells, which can help create a strong bond in the brain. This bond would play a part in improving the brain’s capacity to store, process, and retrieve information.

AIMegaAIMega® contains omega-3, -6, and -9 fatty acids derived from flax, sesame, olive, and sunflower oils. Fatty acids, like the DHA in GinkgoSense, help improve brain function, maintain healthy cells, and protect against cardiovascular disease – all of which could make a difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s.

With so many different theories on what might be the cause of Alzheimer’s, there is just as much variety with theories on how to prevent or decrease its symptoms. One way is to reduce the prevalence of free radicals in the body, especially as it relates to the passing of blood to the brain and cells in the brain.

ProancynolThis may be why people have been turning to grape seed extract for Alzheimer’s help. Grape seed extract is one of the most effective supplements for fighting free radicals in the body. It is a powerful antioxidant that has been shown to remain in the body for three full days, working to clean our system and fight off free radical damage. Even better, grape seed extract is more powerful than both vitamins C and E.

Grape seed extract can be found in AIM Proancynol® 2000, which combines the extract with green tea, N-acetylcysteine, alpha-lipolic acid, selenium, rosemary, and lycopene. Using a synergistic formula, Proancynol 2000 makes sure you get the most out of each ingredient thanks to the unique way that the nutrients work together and complement one another.

$54 can carry you as far as you wish to go

Bella Vladimirsky Take a look at what the founders of AIM had in mind 26 years ago when the company came into being. And remember this name, Bella Vladimirsky.

The owners knew they had something to sell, a unique green barley powder. But how to sell it, how to market it, what did they believe, and why.

Bella and Arkady Vladimirsky Well, they could go retail or they could decide on network marketing. They decided on network marketing. With a minimum investment, modern technology, and an excellent compensation plan, network marketing offers the opportunity to build a business through people helping people, each Member doing his or her share, and each Member benefiting from the efforts of everyone.

The AIM Mission Statement reflects company values as well: “The mission of The AIM Companies™ is to improve the quality and productivity of people’s lives by promoting the Healthy Cell Concept® and the highest principles of free enterprise.”

AIM’s core values’ statement builds on the founding ideals of the company. (1) Respect for the individual. (2) Commitment to excellence. (3) Dedication to customer service. (4) Success through personal initiative. What evolved was a simple three-word mantra: Nutrition. Opportunity. Success. A piece of the American dream is there for the taking. Not always an easy route but very rewarding along the way.

Royal Emerald Director Bella Vladimirsky came to the United States in 1989, settling with her husband, Arkady, in Texas in 1990. “We came from Moldavia, part of the former Soviet Union, in search of freedom. We had no freedom of opinions, we could not live where we wanted to, we were forbidden to travel abroad, and even domestic travel was restricted. Having a private business was illegal, housing was scarce, and most consumer goods were in short supply and rationed.”

From a land where your life is very regulated from cradle to grave to one where freedom to succeed and freedom to fail are a way of life … came Bella. “AIM was the first company I was introduced to,” says Bella, “and I still love it. The products are great, the staff is wonderful, and the educational materials are excellent.”

Now think about this, $54. Doesn’t seem like a whole lot. Don’t try telling that to Bella. That $54 turned her life into something she could never imagine in Russia. “My first check from AIM was for $54. I couldn’t believe my eyes. It was the first American money earned by me. I was so excited I called my brother in Russia and told him the news. I decided that if I could make $54, it would be nice to have another check for $500. I set a goal and started to share the products with everyone I knew. I was on the phone calling my Russian friends all over the U.S., sharing with them about AIM. I thought I could earn an income from this. This is how it all started.”

The Vladimirsky family lives in the Rio Grande Valley in McAllen, Texas, with a metro population of 700,000. The population is overwhelmingly Hispanic. So how does an immigrant from Russia possessing limited English skills and no ability in Spanish build a downline that pushed her to Royal Emerald status? “The apartment complex we lived in had only three or four families who spoke English. But I was so anxious to share the benefits of the AIM products that I ordered lots of literature in Spanish. I also had one Spanish video. I met ladies in the laundromat at the complex and gave them literature. I dragged them to my apartment, mixed the green barley powder with apple juice, and had them taste it. They enjoyed it and I started taking orders. Then I started having home meetings and soon my entire neighborhood was drinking the green barley juice.

Bella Vladimirsky

Bella herself was a beneficiary of the product. “I always had low blood pressure and headaches. When I started using the green barley juice powder my headaches disappeared. I thought this was weird and told my husband I needed to go see the doctor. He laughed and told me it was the barley that was helping me.”

A bout of illness with her son sealed the deal for her belief in AIM. Arkady and Bella have two children, a daughter and a son. The son, Eugene, came home from school with chicken pox in his throat. “I had read that the barley juice would strengthen the immune system. The doctor told me it would take 10 days for him to recover. But Eugene was in pain so I gave him some green barley juice three times a day. After three days, the chicken pox was gone. I got very excited. That was good motivation for me. I started calling all my friends to share the news.”

The AIM experience has not only been good for the family health and their finances, but also adds Bella, AIM is responsible for the best family vacation she has ever had. “We decided to drive to the Boise convention as a high school graduation present for my daughter, Nelly. The trip lasted three weeks and we went 5,000 miles to the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Las Vegas, St. George, Salt Lake City, Yellowstone Park, and the Rocky Mountains. It was our best vacation ever. Once we got to the convention, we were very impressed with AIM, the people we met, and the motivational speakers.”

Bella has master’s degrees in biology and chemistry, is a certified nutritionist, a certified iridologist, and a registered naturopath. From all this training and her exposure to AIM comes a piece of simple advice, “Stay healthy naturally.”

And her heart is never far from what AIM has provided her. “AIM gave me the opportunity to start my own business. AIM has provided me with excellent food supplements that I can promote to other people so they can stay healthy.”

Also dear to her is the chance to participate in the American Dream. “We had free education and free medical care in the Soviet Union,” says Bella. “But no freedom. Life here in the United States is much better and richer but it is also more complicated. All that freedom means you have choices, opportunities, and responsibilities.”

It almost goes without saying, but here goes anyway. Bella wouldn’t have it any other way.

Immune Health – Powerful Illness Fighting Antioxidants

One way to defend yourself against the possibility of illness is to use products like AIM Proancynol® 2000 and AIM Herbal Release®. In the case of AIM Director Lucy Morrison from Millersburg, Ohio, taking Proancynol 2000 even saved her from needing a flu shot.

Proancynol 2000 is loaded with powerful illness-fighting antioxidants. Two of its most well-known ingredients are green tea and grape seed extract, both of which have been proven to neutralize free radicals and build immunity. Some studies state that green tea can be as much as 100 times more effective at neutralizing free radicals than vitamin C, and even the FDA has touted the polyphenols of green tea as ample protectors against serious ailments. Grape seed extract also is a popular supplement because of its antioxidant properties that have been proven to be stronger than vitamins C and E.

Proancynol 2000 combines green tea and grape seed extract with other powerful antioxidants – N-acetylcysteince, alpha-lipoic acid, lycopene, and selenium – to create a synergistic combination. Working together, the different aspects of the Proancynol formula provide benefits that cannot be achieved by taking the ingredients alone.

Yuk, the flu. It is always out there lurking someplace, but more commonly during the winter months and early spring when our bodies are most susceptible to infection. The Centers for Disease Control reports that 5 to 20 percent of the population will contract the flu. Annually, more than 200,000 people are hospitalized with severe flu symptoms, and even minor flu cases can bring on those dreaded aches and pains.

Another AIM product that can wage battle with illness is AIM Herbal Release®. AIM Product Consultant Sharie Hall from St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, is an Herbal Release believer.

Herbal Release, like Proancynol, is an ideal resource for immune system health, and it specifically targets the various parts of the lymphatic system – bone marrow, thymus, lymph nodes, and spleen. With a combination of herbs and herbal extracts – including barberry root bark, boldo leaves, buckthorn bark, burdock root, cascara sagrada, chickweed, dandelion root, echinacea, licorice root, parsley, and sarsaparilla – Herbal Release has a formula that helps cleanse the lymphatic system and keeps the organs working at an ideal rate to rid the body of waste.

Too often it might seem like you don’t have a chance against discouraging, achy illnesses. But AIM has given you the chance to fight back. Try Herbal Release and Proancynol 2000. They come with stamps of approval from Lucy and Sharie.

AIM ReAssure SP – Men's Prostate Health

ReAssureAIM ReAssure® with rye pollen. What an effective and unique product from The AIM Companies™. Why would we ever change this simple formula? A product, by the way, that has proven effective for those who use it.

Although the first documented prostate treatment with pollen extracts occurred more than 40 years ago, many government regulatory agencies still don’t recognize it as a traditional treatment today. AIM employed and consulted with a team of researchers and experts to assist us in gaining government approval of rye pollen as an effective ingredient. We compiled extensive research on this extract, including both animal studies and clinical trials. However, our efforts were not rewarded and we were forced to decide to either remove ReAssure from the AIM product line or to adapt.

AIM can point to years of effective relief from prostate issues with ReAssure. No telling how many men and women have benefited from the product, but it has to be tens of thousands. Government regulators can’t take that from us.

Well, anyway, we had to make a change, a task that was not taken lightly or without a lot of thought and discussion. We have gone to great lengths to research the efficacy, safety, and acceptance of ingredients to world markets. As a result of these efforts, we created AIM ReAssure® SP, a prostate health formula with decades of ingredient efficacy and safety research.

Saw palmetto has been used for prostate treatment for more than 100 years and has gained regulatory recognition. Rather than fighting the uphill bureaucratic battle attempting to gain approval for a pollen, we’ve chosen to reformulate ReAssure.

The saw palmetto that AIM uses is not the one that some AIM Members report they have tried with little or no success. What’s going on here? Isn’t one saw palmetto just like another?supplement facts

Or, expressed differently, what kind of saw palmetto works and which ones don’t? The verdict is in the science and the type of saw palmetto used. Simply, oil is better than a berry powder.

The majority of clinical studies and research has focused on saw palmetto berry oil extracts at 320 mg per serving. For example, the Journal of the American Medical Association reported that 320 mg a day of saw palmetto oil extract improves urinary symptoms as effectively as prescription drugs. This is the same amount of saw palmetto oil extract found in ReAssure SP.

The saw palmetto used in most prostate health supplements today contains only saw palmetto berry powder or juice powder. Saw palmetto berry powder or juice are low cost alternatives to an oil extract and contain little or none of the fatty acids and plant sterols that provide benefits to the prostate. AIM’s oil extract is standardized to 85 percent total fatty acid content and is tested to assure the presence of the plant sterols sitosterol and campesterol. Both of these sterols, as an added product benefit, have been found to block the absorption of cholesterol through the intestine.

The ReAssure SP saw palmetto oil extract is standardized to 85 percent fatty acid content, pure virgin pumpkin seed oil produced by cold-press and filtration, 100 percent of the daily value from zinc citrate, and a tomato extract standardized to 7 percent lycopene. We have no hesitancy in offering a new ReAssure to our Members. It is a potent prostate formula at an affordable cost.

The end of the rye pollen ReAssure and the beginning of the saw palmetto ReAssure SP overlap so both products will be available until the rye pollen inventory is exhausted.
