Dreams do come true

 Megs and Ramila Padiachy—Nepean, ON

Megs (Meganathan) and Ramila Padiachy have always had dreams, two of the biggest being to have a beautiful home and to help people through improved health. Thanks in part to their AIM business and in part to their perseverance, they’re achieving these dreams and others.

A new land

A little more than a decade ago, the Padiachys immigrated to Canada from South Africa. They had been financially secure in their homeland and found themselves starting over. “We literally wiped out our life savings within the first two years,” Megs says.

But, he continues, “My dad always said, owning your own business will give you greater benefits, and that stuck with me. Through the years, we’ve had different businesses and have been successful. So we decided to start a business in natural health in Canada.”

New ventures

In South Africa, the Padiachys got their first exposure to the natural health field through seeking solutions for their son’s health challenges. In Canada, Ramila had just started a practice specializing in natural alternatives to traditional medicine when in September 1992, she and Megs were introduced to the AIM products. The Padiachys are total vegetarians and were excited that the nutrient levels and protein content in this green food would help them meet their nutritional needs. “Within a day, I noticed such a big difference,” Ramila says. “I had such a surge of energy, I couldn’t believe it.” She began to share the product in her practice and received positive feedback. “We knew we had gold in our hands and needed to share this with many more people,” Ramila says.

In the meantime, the Padiachys had set a goal that Megs, who worked as a travel agent, would join Ramila in her practice in four years. “With the AIM products, our business started to really grow at the rate that we knew our goal could be achieved,” Ramila says. In January 1996, Megs joined Ramila. “When I was able to quit my job, a lot of stress went away,” Megs says. “I was able to take some of the load from Ramila, who was managing the household, studying, and managing the business. It made a huge difference because we could share the workload but also have the freedom of one of us being available for our kids.” The Padiachys have three grown children—Halona, Chanele, and Kaveesh.

Growing their AIM business

Even though they had met a significant goal, the Padiachys still weren’t taking advantage of AIM’s compensation plan. “We did not even promote the business opportunity with the clients who were using the products,” Ramila says. “It was only in 1996 when AIM opened in South Africa that Megs said we should have a look at this more seriously.”

Megs and Ramila’s AIM business grew tremendously in South Africa, and her parents were among the first to reap the benefits. Within three months, her mother doubled her salary and was able to stay home to care for her blind husband. Although Ramila’s father passed away in December 2001, her parents were able to enjoy improved quality of life and spend precious time together.

Business beliefs

The Padiachys built their AIM business on educating people, listening, and having fun. They always encourage their clients to get an AIM membership to benefit from wholesale prices and receive the AIM Partners magazine. Megs says that listening allows the Padiachys to understand people, give them what they need, and help them attain the level of success they want to achieve. He also says that building an AIM business is fun because you are always meeting new people, going to new places, having new occasions to celebrate.

Rewards

The Padiachys have come a long way from starting out as foreigners in a new country with no network of people to help them promote their practice or their AIM business. “We persevered and now we’re seeing the rewards,” Megs says. “The biggest reward is making a difference in people’s lives and seeing the quality of their lives change over the years.”

He says that many people in their organization who never dreamed of being able to afford a holiday are achieving that. Ramila says that their children who had to make lots of sacrifices are now reaping many rewards, including going to AIM conventions.

The Padiachys recently moved into their dream home and enjoy the financial freedom their AIM business provides as well as the freedom of not being restricted to a location or a 9-to-5 job. “Having your own business always seems much more rewarding than working for a boss because you can earn what you believe you’re worth rather than what someone else thinks you’re worth,” Megs says. “If we need to go somewhere, we can close our practice because we know that our AIM income will sustain us.”

The Padiachys see their AIM business as a legacy for their family and as security for themselves when they retire. Already working four days a week, they hope to retire by the age of 50.

The future

Achieving Chairman’s Club is just the beginning. For the Padiachys, the real journey will be taking care of their organization. “Many of our Members see us as role models now and want to achieve higher—mentally, morally, physically, and financially. They are all coming on the train ride with us to achieve their goals,” Megs says.

The Padiachys are grateful to their parents for giving them the foundation to persevere and stick to their dreams. They are thankful to their organization, the AIM staff, and AIM co-owners Dennis Itami and Ron Wright, especially for the new AIM BarleyLife®. “Everyone has a dream,” Megs says. “Too many feel that it’s unrealistic sometimes. But hold on to your dream, work toward it, speak to like-minded people who would share your dream, and they will help you and support you in achieving it.”

Seeing is believing!

I was working in my yard one day when I reached into the flowerbed to pull out some dead leaves, and I accidentally disturbed a wasp’s nest. The angry wasps attacked my hand, and I had several wasp bites. My hand began to throb with pain and started to swell. I went running into the house and asked my husband, Pete (the skeptic veterinarian), to get a bottle of AIM Cell Wellness Restorer™. We stood at the sink and as Pete poured it over my hand, I rubbed it in, and the pain and swelling immediately subsided. As they say, seeing is believing. Pete could not doubt what he had just seen with his very own eyes! He made the comment that wasp stings always itch later, but mine never did. A landscaper was also here working at the time, and after witnessing this, he purchased a bottle of AIM Cell Wellness Restorer™!

Sugar and spice, now that’s really nice!

I wanted to share with you how AIM BarleyLife® saved our kitten from dying. Last Christmas, we found two stray kittens that were only about six weeks old. We named them Sugar and Spice. Sugar was very sick, weak, and lethargic. We didn’t think she would live very long, so we started giving her AIM BarleyLife® with a medicine syringe several times a day. By the end of the week, she was playing like a normal kitten. By the second week, her symptoms had completely disappeared, and after one month, she became the stronger and more dominant kitten! Thanks for changing the lives of ALL of our family with the AIM products!

Living Well for better stamina and endurance

Cole FamilyLiving well is not just a matter of maintaining good health. Making the right lifestyle choices and truly ‘living well’ means we have better stamina and endurance to handle the daily challenges and ‘curve-balls’ that life seems to toss our way.

Regular exercise can increase our physical endurance and help us to ward off unwanted illness. Some experts believe that exercise can even delay the aging process.

While we can’t totally do away with the effects of aging, we can certainly reduce our stress and prevent the loss of muscle tone by adding exercise to our Living Well™ routine—along with a healthy diet.

What do athletes know about exercise and Living Well™?

The professional athlete would not step out onto the field without first taking care of himself. Athletes know that eliminating negative lifestyle choices, nourishing the body with healthy foods and vital nutrients, and replenishing the body with water and health supplements, can lead to better performance during training or competition.

With these three simple steps, a healthy diet, and some exercise, we can perform our best in our daily activities and have the increased energy that we would like for our recreational time. We may even build extra strength and endurance to prepare for those times of stress in our lives.

Healthy lifestyle choices

We can begin by thinking about some of the lifestyle choices that we make each day, and how they impact our ability to perform well at work, school, or play. Athletes traditionally make ‘living well’ decisions by eliminating: smoking, fast-foods, excessive soda consumption, too much caffeine, drug abuse, excessive alcohol intake, and lack of sleep. We could add to the list: high stress, living or working near pollutants, physical inactivity, poor emotional outlook on life, lack of fiber, fruits, vegetables, and other complex carbohydrates for a healthy diet.

Eliminate

The importance of water

For both the athlete and the weekend exerciser, elimination continues beyond healthful lifestyle choices. Virtually everyone agrees that flushing the body with plenty of water—before, during, and after exercise—is critical. This helps to prepare the body for exercise prior to the event and helps to fend off dehydration during exercise. Water helps to regulate body temperature and allows for good circulation and muscle function.

Plenty of pure, clean water also helps to rid the body of harmful toxins. Toxins accumulate in the body on a daily basis. Every day we are exposed to heavy metals, chemicals, molds and fungus, all of which must be flushed from our system. To flush the body of toxins, adults should drink at least eight or more glasses of water per day.

The importance of fiber

A diet high in fiber, fruits, and vegetables will also aid in the elimination of toxins through the body and help you to feel better during exercise. Regular meal times and bowel movements are critical for those who are serious about their training routine.

As a general rule, adequate fiber intake helps to regulate rapid highs and lows in blood sugar during exercise. Starting an exercise routine hungry or light-headed will not allow you to perform your best. Adjust your fiber intake to best suit your needs and the intensity level of the exercise.

Nourish

A healthy, well-balanced diet will provide all of the energy that the body needs for physical activity. Vital nutrients come from foods that offer complex carbohydrates, such as vegetables, fruits and grains; as well as proteins found in low-fat meats, poultry, fish and legumes. Instead of loading up on carbohydrates prior to exercise, try to make a well-balanced diet your goal every day.

For the pre-exercise meal, experts recommend eating no more than 800 calories in the form of a small, high-carbohydrate snack, such as cereal with a sliced banana, a low-fat bagel, or a baked potato with soy yogurt and a vegetable topping. A post-workout snack might consist of fruit, fruit juice, followed later by a meal of mixed carbohydrate and low-fat protein.

Nourishing the body also means getting plenty of rest after the activity. So, take time to sit on the bench and give yourself plenty of praise for a job well done, while enjoying that refreshing sip of well-deserved water!

Replenish

Water is the winning combination for exercise. As we’ve mentioned, replenishing the body with water is important —before, during, and after— the sporting event. It is vital in the replenishing of lost fluids, and helps to get the muscles moving.

Refueling the body takes other forms as well. The after workout meal (as described above) will help to replace depleted stores of nutrients and allow the body to repair microscopic damage to muscle fibers. After adequate rest and a good meal, you may consider the use of dietary supplements to replenish the body with vitamins, minerals, and nutrients. Vitamins and minerals do not provide energy, but are essential in regulating chemical reactions within the body.

Just remember that you can’t totally do away with the aging process or quickly dismiss years of exercise neglect, but with good lifestyle choices and a consistent effort, you can take steps toward improved health by truly Living Well™.

Going for Director – worth the effort?

Becoming a Director is the key that opens the door for income potential on AIM’s Opportunity Compensation Plan.

Missing the potential

A year ago, our ancient (5 year-old) computer died. We bought a new one with all the bells and whistles and set it up right where the old one had been. I was happy. I could still do everything I had done on the old computer. A few months into owning this state-of-the-art piece of equipment, my son stood behind me as I was sitting at the kitchen table paying bills. “Mom, you could pay those online, you know.” Wow, what a timesaver, and safer than sending checks through the mail. Each week or so, I discover something this computer does that simplifies an area of my life, from reminders to doing my year-end taxes. Until my son began enlightening me, I had been doing things as I had always done and missed the potential right in front of me.

If you are an AIM Member and you have not considered working toward Director, you are missing the life-enhancing potential available to you. Reaching the title of Director opens doors for you, not available on the beginning rungs of the Opportunity Compensation Plan.

Director potential

Did you know that as an AIM Director you

  • Receive 18% in commissions on your personal purchases (PV) and those of your Wholesale Members and Express Customers (the highest percentage paid on these volumes)? Your commissions on everyone else in your downline increases from 3 – 6% as well. This adds up. During a 12-month period, if your Group Volume is 3000 GV per month, a 6% increase in a year is $2,160.
  • Become eligible for the Director Growth Bonus Pool (DGBP)? This increases your monthly income potential by as much as $1,400 or more.
  • Become eligible for the Three-deep Bonus Pool (TDBP)? In August 2005, the hard working recipients of this bonus earned an additional $525 to $2,400!
  • Retain your title for as long as you maintain your Membership. Whether you choose to build a business each month or have times when you are only using the products, you continue to receive 18% commission on your personal purchases.
  • Becoming a Director is the key that opens the door for income potential on AIM’s Opportunity Compensation Plan.

    Steps to Director

Setting goals and taking steps in several areas will put you in the Director’s chair.

  • PV: To be eligible for all Director commissions and bonuses. Set your goal to have 300 PV every month. This represents the equivalent of three Garden Trios® and three jars of AIM Herbal Fiberblend®.
  • GV: To promote to Director you need to accumulate 6,000 BVP in a three consecutive month period. Set your goal for 3,000 GV per month and you will not only make Director but will qualify for both the DGBP and TDBP. If you want to make the maximum on the DGBP increase your goal to 10,000 GV per month.
  • Customer base: Develop a customer base that provides for your monthly GV. For example, if your goal is 3,000 BVP, then you need at least 30 customers and downline Members ordering 100 BVP per month. A solid base of repeat customers is a must to a successful AIM business.
  • Downline team: Create a team with Members in your downline who also want to make the most of their AIM potential. Help them build their customer base (which will also contribute to your GV). Working together makes the process more fun. Important note: As Members of your team head toward Director, it is important to begin replacing their volume with new customers, as they will “break away” once they hit Director. Your opportunity to make the most of the compensation plan will really expand at this time, since you will now be able to take advantage of the Three Deep Bonus on your newly promoted Director’s volume, while still reaping the rewards of your ever growing customer base.

The DGBP increases your bonus income potential by $1,400 or more per month.
