Blue violet leaves in Herbal Fiberblend

The blue violet leaves in Herbal Fiberblend can promote the removal of parasites from our bodies.

Here’s the science:

The blue violet leaf contains a high concentration of cyclotides. This compound is a circular knot of peptides (several bound amino acids) that are only found in a few specific species of plants.

In two recent studies, cyclotides from blue violet leaves were applied to the larvae of the human hookworm (Necator americanus) to determine the viability of the larvae in the presence of cyclotides. The cyclotides showed significant anthelmintic activity (expel or destroy) toward the parasites.

Several studies have shown that the action that the cyclotide has on the parasite is destructive. Cyclotides impact the outer membranes of the parasites, weakening the parasites’ natural defenses against the host (us). This weakened outer membrane also causes a leakage of cellular contents from the parasite. Thus, blue violet leaves cause the parasite to “in a way” bleed to death while the other ingredients in Herbal Fiberblend flush out the weakened parasite.
