Whole-food nutrition for the health problems of middle age

When you reach middle age, negative physical changes may start to occur. Although menopause is a natural transition in a woman’s life, due to a lack of chemical balance unpleasant symptoms may be experienced. Around the age of forty, a man might be told by his doctor that his prostate is getting larger, which can interfere with the normal functions in this area of his body. AIM has something natural for the ladies and gents to help with these issues.

AIM RevitaFem®

Menopause can bring on a variety of side effects as the body undergoes hormonal fluctuations. There is natural relief with RevitaFem — a combination of botanical ingredients that include dong quai root, ginseng root, and wild yam root powder. Unlike drugs that work on your body, RevitaFem’s herbs work naturally with your body for positive effects. Even though botanicals may take longer to achieve the results you want, you receive long-term benefits without the possible side effects you often get with pharmaceuticals.

RevitaFem’s natural ingredients help to regulate hormones, reduce night sweats, cool hot flashes, and balance mood swings. Additionally, some botanicals act like a tonic for your body while others provide antibacterial and antifungal properties. Taking RevitaFem’s herbal formula provides you with relief from the unpleasant symptoms of menopause.

AIM ReAssure® SP

For men, an enlarged prostate can lead to the onset of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), the effects of which include having to get up frequently in the middle of the night to urinate, experiencing changes in urinary flow, and being affected by bladder infections. Although its exact cause is unknown, studies show that BPH may result from the hormonal changes a man goes through as he ages.

ReAssure SP is a combination of saw palmetto berry oil extract, pumpkin seed oil, zinc citrate, and lycopene—four effective ingredients for relieving the urologic symptoms associated with BPH and maintaining a healthy prostate.

Every man over the age of forty should practice prevention by taking ReAssure SP to assure that you are getting the nutrients that the prostate needs for good health.

For a Healthy Prostate…

One of the hormonal changes a middle-aged or older man can go through may result in an enlarged prostate—a condition known as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Environmental factors, such as diet, may also trigger BPH, but its exact cause is unknown.

An enlarged prostate compresses the urethra and affects the flow of urine from the bladder. Some of the symptoms 1 of BPH include:

Frequent urination

• Unable to postpone to urinate

• Delay in starting to urinate

• Weak urinary stream – straining

• Intermittent Stream – stopping and starting

• Incontinence (loss of urinary control)

• Painful urination

• Blood in urine

• Inability to empty bladder (acute urinary retention)

Diseases such as prostatitis, bladder stones, bladder cancer, and prostate cancer can also produce some of these symptoms, so seeing a health care practitioner is necessary for an accurate evaluation. Depending on the severity of BPH symptoms, a variety of treatments may be suggested, including drug therapy, surgical approach, and minimally invasive procedures 1. Taking AIM ReAssure® is a natural way to prevent—for men forty and older—or relieve the symptoms of mild to moderate BPH. Its unique, synergistic combination of natural ingredients can help to keep your prostate healthy.

Each 2-capsule serving of ReAssure SP contains 320 mg of saw palmetto berry oil extract, 240 mg of pumpkin seed oil,15 mg of zinc citrate, and 5 mg of lycopene. Scientific research shows that saw palmetto produces “similar improvement in urinary tract symptoms and urinary flow … with fewer adverse treatment events2when compared with finasteride-the commonly prescribed drug that has possible side effects (such as impotence, decreased sex drive, and male breast cancer). Instead of the less-effective berry powder, AIM uses only the beneficial berry oil extract from the saw palmetto.

Pumpkin seed oil improves bladder function and urinary flow, while reducing the frequency of night-time urination. Healthy prostate cells accumulate “the highest level of zinc of any soft tissue in the body”3 so ReAssure SP also provides Z, inc citrate. Rounding out the formula, lycopene is a carotenoid antioxidant that may hinder the growth of prostate cancer cells.

Dads need the Daily Essentials: Greens, Essential Fatty Acids, and Fiber

My father didn’t tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it.

Clarence Budington Kelland

Men’s health falls under the microscope this month with the arrival of Father’s Day. Dads give a lot of themselves at home, work, and play, so it is

important that their health is given a once over every now and then. For some dads, that may mean a trip outside their comfort zone—the doctor’s office.

One of the biggest obstacles to a healthy dad is helping him overcome his invincibility. According to a 2001 report by the American Centers for Disease Control, men are 33 percent less likely to visit a doctor than women. So the bravado of being a guy has its risks because most medical problems can be addressed if there is awareness of the initial symptoms.

Men’s Health Risks

Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death for both men and women, but the first onset of cardiovascular problems occurs, on average, ten years earlier for men. Risk factors include age, family history, and race. Some of these factors cannot be controlled, but others can. For example, heart disease also strikes those with high cholesterol and high

blood pressure as well as the physically inactive and obese. If dad avoids these latter problems, his heart will thank him.

Another dad danger is stroke. The steps to sidestep stroke are right in line with those to avoid heart disease—a healthy lifestyle that includes a good diet and plenty of exercise. Healthy blood pressure levels remain the most crucial element for avoiding stroke.

Prostate cancer is the most common type of cancer among men. Fortunately, the disease is treatable. Unfortunately, the symptoms of prostate cancer are often masked until it is too late. That is why doctors recommend that men over fifty undergo screening, which can include a blood test or rectal exam. The earlier dad takes the test, the better off he’ll be.

Although stress is not a disease, too much can lead to ill health and has been shown to be a causal factor in the onset of disease. So the stress that dad experiences from the daily demands of work and life

can have a negative impact on his state of health. Exercise is a great stress reliever, and dad should be constantly encouraged to keep in good physical shape.

Daily Prevention from AIM

When all is said and done, prevention remains the best possible stance to take. Along with getting regular exercise and eating well, AIM provides what it takes to keep dad in the best of health. Whether in good shape or dealing with a health issue, every dad needs the Daily Essentials—greens, essential fatty acids, and fiber.

Daily servings of AIM BarleyLife® can make a lifelong difference for dad. This concentrated powder form of greens provides absorbable, natural vitamins, minerals, enzymes, antioxidants, phytonutrients, and chlorophyll—like a salad in a glass!

A daily intake of omega-3 and -6 essential fatty acids (EFAs) is a necessity since these indispensible nutrients cannot be produced by the body. EFAs are vital for the health of every cell in dad’s body and provide a long list of health benefits, such as aiding digestion, burning fat, and lowering triglyceride and blood pressure levels. AIMega®’s EFA blend of organic seed oils provides dad with 1,140 mg of omega-3 fatty acids per capsule.

Fiber every day is the third essential way to prevention. A high-fiber intake plays a crucial role in preventing chronic diseases. Making certain that dad gets enough fiber in his diet by supplementing with AIM Herbal Fiberblend®, AIM FibreBalance®, or AIM fit ‘n fiber® will help to keep his digestive system working optimally and contribute to healthy cholesterol, blood pressure, and blood sugar levels.

When Dad Needs a Little More

You have dad on the preventative path with the Daily Essentials, but he may require something more. If dad wants additional support for his heart, add AIM CellSparc 360®. The coenzyme Q10 in CellSparc 360 provides energy for the heart and body and assists the heart with cardiac output, exercise tolerance, and more.

If dad is struggling with an enlarged prostate that is causing him urinary difficulties, AIM ReAssure SP® can be added. To help reduce dad’s stress levels, AIM Composure® provides an herbal remedy for relaxing and helping him to sleep better at night, which is also an essential element of good health.

Being aware of possible health risks and the support that is available from all-natural AIM products, dear old dad can be in great shape this Father’s Day. Make men’s health a priority this month and beyond.

“As a result of taking BarleyLife, Herbal Fiberblend, and AIMega, I have noticed an increase in my

energy level and a decrease in the frequency and duration of colds. Also as a byproduct, I was able to stop taking acid reflux medication and have eliminated it with the use of Herbal Fiberblend. With all of the cancer out
there, it’s nice to know I have not only good stuff going into my body but bad stuff coming out! “

Detox Your Mood:Feeling better in the New Year

By Tracey Karele – AIM Nutritionist

The festive season is a time of joy and merriment; it’s a time to put aside your daily routines and to celebrate with your loved ones. More often than not, rich food and alcohol form part of this celebration, and overindulgence during the holiday season is the norm. While a day or two of indiscretion may be OK, a few weeks worth of unhealthy foods, parties, wining and dining can leave you feeling low and sluggish. Get healthy and happy again by exercising, eating right and supplementing well to begin the New Year on a high note.

According to the Mayo Clinic, some preliminary research suggests that having a poor diet can make you more vulnerable to depression. Researchers in Britain looked at depression and diet in over 3000 middle-aged office workers over the course of five years. They found that people who ate a junk food diet — one that was high in processed meat, chocolates, sweet desserts, fried food, refined cereals and high-fat dairy products — were more likely to report symptoms of depression.

A study by BBC health investigated the impact of diet on the mental health of 200 people in Britain. Researchers reported that changing the diet improved mental health significantly. 26% said they had seen large improvements in mood swings, 26% noticed improvement in panic attacks and anxiety, and 24% noted an improvement in depression. The participants said that cutting down on food ‘stressors’ and increasing the amount of ‘supporters’ that they ate helped to improve their mood. ‘Stressors’ were foods such as sugar, caffeine, alcohol and chocolate (all festive favourites!) ‘Supporters’ included water, vegetables, fruit, oil-rich fish, nuts, beans, non-fat dairy products, egg whites and whole grains.

Along with wreaking havoc on your blood glucose levels, the refined sugar found in chocolates, sweets and other treats has been implicated in aggressive behaviour, depression, fatigue, anxiety and many other conditions. Excessive consumption of refined sugar is also undesirable because sugar uses B-vitamins for its breakdown, and the B vitamins are very extremely important in regulating the mood.

What to eat

There are certain things that you can eat that can actually help to boost your mood. The B-vitamins, for example, are important in this case, as a B-vitamin deficiency can lead to exhaustion, irritability and depression, amongst other things. Over the past several years, evidence has mounted that B-vitamins—B12 and folate in particular—may ward off depression and other mental problems. Sources of folate include asparagus, spinach, beef liver and lentils, while foods of an animal origin (i.e. meat and dairy) are sources of vitamin B12.

It is widely believed that a deficiency in the neurotransmitter serotonin plays a role in depression. Tryptophan is an amino acid precursor to serotonin, and is especially rich in foods such as fish, turkey, chicken, cheese, tofu, oats and eggs. However, eating a meal that is high in tryptophan won’t raise your serotonin levels unless you eat a meal that is relatively high in carbohydrates too, especially unrefined carbohydrates.

The role of carbohydrates in uplifting the mood must also be emphasized. Glucose (from carbohydrates) is the brain’s primary source of fuel; so a reduced carbohydrate intake will reduce the brain’s source of energy. Carbohydrate-containing foods like breads, cereals and pasta can produce a temporary increase in brain serotonin, and a subsequent calming or anxiety-reducing effect.

However, it’s not just what you eat but also how you eat that will affect your mood. Eating small, regular meals will help to balance your blood sugar levels, and there is no question that individuals who battle to keep their blood sugar levels stable also experience fluctuations in mood.

Get moving

If you ask someone why they exercise, they will often tell you “Because it makes me feel good.” As it turns out, it actually does! Exercise is slowly being linked through research with improved psychological functioning. Exercise actually seems to help people cope with the negative effects of stress. Some psychologists actually recommend exercise as therapy for their patients who are having mental or emotional difficulties. The exact cause of exercise’s influence on an improved mental outlook is not completely understood. It may be as simple as a feeling of satisfaction and self-worth that is created by getting and staying in shape.

Guidelines for physical activity from the American College of Sports Medicine include doing moderately intense cardio for 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week OR doing vigorously intense cardio for 20 minutes a day, 3 days a week AND doing 8 to 10 strength-training exercises, with 8 to 12 repetitions of each exercise twice a week.

AIM products for detoxing your mood

  • GinkgoSense contains fish oil and therefore DHA, which is the predominant essential fatty acid (EFA) in your brain. It helps to maintain neurological health, and also helps to improve brain function, memory, concentration and mental clarity. It also contains ginkgo biloba, which improves blood flow to extremities. Ginkgo has been studied for many years and shows very positive results for improving concentration and memory, listlessness, depressive moods, anxiety and many others conditions.

  • Peak Endurance provides 50% of your daily requirement for those all important B-vitamins – Vit B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and B12.

  • GlucoChrom contains chromium, which has been shown to help maintain normal blood sugar levels, and this is significant as fluctuations in blood glucose levels are associated with changes in mood.

  • AIMega is a source of EFA’s, which constitute a major part of lipids (fats) in the brains and nerves, and are involved in the transfer of messages between nerves. If EFA’s are in short supply, then these messages are never transferred properly.  Also, EFA’s are important in the metabolic pathway that controls serotonin metabolism. Clinical trials have indicated improvements in patients who are on antidepressant drugs where supplementation with EFA’s minimized symptoms.

  • Reassure SP contains 100% of your daily requirements for zinc. Low serum zinc levels have been linked to major depression.

  • Composure consists of a special combination of 8 herbs that exert a calming effect on the nervous system. These herbs also work together to supply the body with some of the nutrients that can be depleted in times of stress.

  • Proancynol 2000: According to a small study from a Texas University, selenium supplementation of 200 micrograms a day for 7 weeks improved mild and moderate depression in 16 elderly participants. More studies are needed, but it can’t hurt to make sure that you’re eating foods that help you to meet the Dietary Reference Intake for selenium (55 micrograms a day).

Share your AIM success stories

When AIM Members get together, you can expect some great stories to be shared. Such was the case at AIM’s annual training event, AIMing Higher, in October. The following testimonies were given:

From Royal Emerald Director Richard Ekstrom from Hayden, Idaho:

I’ve been around the AIM family for a long time. I even remember being on the ranch of Chairman’s Club Director Jim Kling when I was twelve years old.

I really wanted to touch on the point of how much this company has really blessed me and how much it is changing my life on a personal level.

First off, I lost forty pounds after the 1990 convention by starting with AIM Herbal Fiberblend® and the barley.

AIM is a family, and I am so thankful for the ways they’ve touched my life and my family and for the things I’m about to do because of the company. I’m the nephew of Daniel Erceg. He passed away last year, and he left his AIM membership as a legacy. He inspired me to help other people. I’m also so inspired by J.R. Celski’s story.

I’m involved with a camp, where I had the opportunity to make a speech and use some of the examples of how AIM products positively affect people’s lives—the products go hand in hand with this ministry. I want to thank everybody at AIM for their contribution in making the world a great place, and I’m so proud to be part of AIM and the Celski’s legacy.

I’m looking forward to growing.

From Group Builder Patricia Hamilton from Freeport, Grand Bahamas:

My brother-in-law was diagnosed with prostate cancer back in May 2010, so I put him on the AIM Garden Trio®, AIM Herbal Fiberblend®, and AIM ReAssure® SP. After he began taking these AIM products, his PSA levels went from ten (high risk) to two (normal).

You, your prostate, and AIM ReAssure® SP

You’re a man over the age of 40. Your prostate has always been there for you, but you probably haven’t given this walnut-sized gland much thought. The fact is that after you reach your fourth decade, your prostate will more than likely get bigger and cause a condition known as Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH). AIM ReAssure® SP may help to relieve the urologic symptoms associated with this annoying condition.

Bigger is NOT Better

With BPH, your enlarged prostate starts to press against your urethra (the tube from your bladder through which urine is eliminated), so several things can happen regarding nature’s call.

You may find yourself needing to urinate more often – day and night. Even so, you may not be able to completely empty your bladder. Or you may notice a weak stream of urine. Some men may be unable to delay urination while others can experience difficulty getting started or stopping. Some may find the whole process painful or see blood in their urine. BPH is not prostate cancer, but you want to take precautions to prevent it.

The exact cause of prostate enlargement has not been determined, but factors may include a high-fat diet, environmental pollutants, and a family history of BPH. The primary factor is the overproduction of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which is converted from testosterone.

AIM ReAssure SP

Creating a formula of four natural ingredients that work synergistically to relieve BPH symptoms resulted in ReAssure SP. Two capsules of ReAssure SP provide the following effective ingredients in recommended daily amounts determined by scientific research:

Saw Palmetto Berry Oil Extract (320 mg)

The SP refers to ReAssure’s key ingredient – saw palmetto, a berry oil extract that may help relieve the urologic symptoms associated with mild to moderate BPH. Saw palmetto inhibits the enzyme (5-alpha-reductase) that is necessary for the conversion of testosterone into DHT. Too much DHT is considered to be one of the contributing factors of prostate enlargement and the resulting BPH.

In 1998 the Journal of the American Medical Association reported evidence that suggests saw palmetto extract improved urologic symptoms and flow measures in a study of 2,939 men with symptomatic BPH.

Pumpkin Seed Oil (240 mg)

Pumpkin seed extracts have also been used to treat symptoms associated with BPH. A 2009 study of 47 Korean men with symptomatic BPH suggested that pumpkin seed oil (and saw palmetto oil) is clinically safe and may be effective complementary and alternative medicine for BPH.

Zinc Citrate (15 mg)

High concentrations of zinc are found in the prostate suggesting that the mineral is required for the health of this gland. Zinc must come from your diet. Along with being vital for the body’s enzymatic process, zinc has been shown to inhibit the enzyme required to convert testosterone into dihydrotestoterone (DHT).

Lycopene (5 mg)

ReAssure SP provides a natural source of lycopene from tomato extract. A study published in the Journal of Nutrition (January 2008) reveals that lycopene inhibits the progression of BPH. Furthermore, the American Association for Cancer Research published a study in 1999 that provides evidence that eating tomato products and other lycopene-containing foods might reduce the occurrence or progression of prostate cancer.

So if you’re a guy over 40 who is concerned about the health of your prostate, practice prevention by taking ReAssure SP.

I’ve been taking ReAssure SP every day since it became available. I remember a time when I had to get up two to three times a night to go to the bathroom, but that doesn’t happen anymore. ReAssure SP really helps me.

– AIM Director James Halstead

   Oakwood, Georgia

It is new, it is improved, it is AIM ReAssure SP

The loyalty created by AIM products is a big part of what makes The AIM Companies™ so effective as a health supplement leader and as a one-of-a-kind business opportunity. Therefore, when products are reformulated, there can be pause for concern among the loyal users of the former product.ReAssure

Jim HalsteadFortunately, AIM ReAssure® SP, a reformulation of the old ReAssure product, is even more potent, powerful, and appreciated as its forebearer.

Member confidence in ReAssure has given way to a loyal following of ReAssure SP, as more and more AIM Members are discovering the unique power of saw palmetto, done the AIM way. Jim Halstead, a Director from Oakwood, GA, is one of the Members who has made the switch.

“I am taking the ReAssure SP each day,” Jim says. “I believe the new SP is working even better.”

Saw palmetto, the new, key ingredient in the ReAssure SP formula, is one of the most popular prostate supplements on the market. It seems to be in almost all of the top-selling prostate supplements around, yet in very few cases is it as powerful and unique as it is in ReAssure SP. The saw palmetto found in traditional remedies is generally a ground-up powder derived from dried saw palmetto berries. For Reassure SP, AIM uses saw palmetto berry oil extract for use in its capsule formula, ensuring an optimum amount of supplement nutrition that contains select phytosterols needed for prostate health.

Among the good stuff with a saw palmetto formula are fatty acids, and the phytosterols sitosterol and campesterol. Research has shown that the impact of 320 milligrams of saw palmetto (the same amount that is found in ReAssure SP) can improve urinary symptoms as effectively as prescription drugs … without the dangerous side effects.

The results speak for themselves.
“I have noticed that I don’t need to urinate during the early morning hours like I did before,” says Jim.
It’s not just the saw palmetto that’s doing the miracle work, either. AIM’s unique ReAssure formula also includes zinc, lycopene, and pumpkin seed oil for an all-encompassing prostate product. Take a look at what each of these ingredients has to offer:

Zinc. Studies have found that the amount of zinc in healthy prostate cells is greater than the amount found in cancerous prostate cells. Also, zinc is key to protecting DNA and repairing cell damage from free radicals.

Pumpkin seed oil. This supplement helps inhibit overproduction of testosterone in the prostate (a leading cause of prostate enlargement). Multiple studies have confirmed that a diet high in pumpkin seed oil can help to improve bladder function, provide stronger urinary flow, and lessen the frequency of nighttime urination.

Tomato lycopene. This antioxidant may be responsible for slowing the growth of prostate cancer cells and reducing the likelihood of developing prostate cancer.

Added to saw palmetto, these parts make up a whole lot of prostate help. And for Jim and many others like him, they have found a new AIM product, that started as an old AIM favorite, to fall in love with.

“At age 72, I’m still going strong, and I know that AIM products really help in so many ways,” Jim says.

AIM ReAssure SP® is both a name and a promise

ReAssureA lot has changed in the progression from AIM ReAssure® to AIM ReAssure® SP. But one part that remains the same is the purpose of the supplement: reassurance.

As such, the name “ReAssure” has stayed, despite changes to the formula and the addition of a couple of extra letters. Keeping the same name is evidence of AIM’s commitment to maintaining a product that can aid prostate and bladder health. “ReAssure” is both a name and a promise, and that’s something that will never change.

What has changed is the main ingredient in AIM’s prostate health product. The old ReAssure formula had a rye pollen extract base; the new product features saw palmetto. Rye pollen was a very popular ingredient in ReAssure, and it created quite a following for the old ReAssure formula. Pollen extracts have been documented as prostate treatments for more than 40 years, yet many government regulatory agencies still refuse to recognize it as a traditional treatment today. AIM’s efforts to get government approval of rye pollen were rejected, forcing the company to look at other options in order to keep ReAssure in the AIM product line.

Saw palmetto immediately jumped out as a great alternative. As far as prostate supplements go, saw palmetto is by far the most popular one on the market. Derived from the berries of small palm trees that grow in the southeastern United States, saw palmetto has quickly become a go-to supplement in virtually every mainstream prostate health product.

But if you know anything about AIM, you know that the company does not simply settle for keeping with the status quo. The saw palmetto in ReAssure SP is different. Whereas most saw palmetto supplements use a ground-up berry powder, ReAssure SP uses berry oil extracts, which are far more effective than powder sources. Clinical studies routinely point to the effects of berry oil extract on prostate health, yet many other companies settle for the cheaper alternative of berry powder which contains only a trace of the active ingredient found in the oil extract.

The saw palmetto extract used in ReAssure SP is rich in fatty acids and contains the plant sterols campesterol, sitosterol, stigmasterol, and many others. It works as an effective aid for prostate issues because it suppresses our body’s manufacture of a harmful hormone. Researchers have indicated that 320 mg of saw palmetto each day (the same amount that is available in ReAssure SP) can improve urinary problems comparable to some prescription drugs.

The benefits of saw palmetto go beyond men’s prostate health. Women can see positive results from saw palmetto, too, since the extract reduces bladder infections, improves urinary flow, and even increases libido.

Saw palmetto is the biggest name among the new ingredients in ReAssure SP, but the other components to the new ReAssure formula have their fair share of outstanding benefits, too. In addition to saw palmetto, ReAssure SP contains pumpkin seed oil, zinc citrate, and lycopene, all of which are key components to maintaining prostate health and beyond.

Lycopene, which is naturally found in tomatoes, has been shown to possibly hinder the growth of certain types of cancers.

A study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition claims that lycopene may reduce levels of a hormone associated with colorectal cancer. Lycopene, a carotenoid, can increase specific proteins in the body that deter growth factors associated with colon cancer.

Lycopene was also linked in earlier studies to an increase in protection against prostate cancer. One such study found that men who ate four to five tomato-based dishes per week were 25 percent less likely to develop prostate cancer than those men who rarely ate tomatoes. ReAssure SP provides 5 mg of lycopene, which is equivalent to about two tomatoes.

Another part of the ReAssure SP formula, zinc, acts as an ideal nutrient in the overall health of our bodies, and studies have shown that men who are healthy have a higher concentration of zinc in a healthy prostate than in any of the other soft organs. In addition to prostate benefits, zinc is also a cofactor in many enzyme processes.

The American Journal of Epidemiology published a study showing that lycopene and zinc are associated with protection against prostate disease. The study, which was performed by using a comparison between red-meat diets and vegetable-rich diets, found that the vegetable diets had a much more positive influence on the health of prostates, thanks in part to the increase in both zinc and lycopene. The 15 mg of zinc per serving in ReAssure SP provides 100 percent of the reference daily intake of zinc.

Another key part to the ReAssure SP formula is pumpkin seed oil. These oils have plant sterols that inhibit the harmful hormones associated with prostate issues. Both pumpkin seed oil and saw palmetto attack these harmful hormones in similar ways, so the introduction of pumpkin seed oil into the ReAssure SP formula only serves to strengthen the product’s potency. In addition to prostate benefits, pumpkin seeds can also aid in bone health and ease the symptoms of arthritis.

Researchers have started to focus more and more on pumpkin seeds in order to find out more about potential benefits for prostate health in men and bladder health in women. They found that the essential fatty acids in pumpkin seeds have positive effects on maintaining a healthy prostate and in improving the health of a woman’s bladder. There is 240 mg of pumpkin seed oil in each serving of ReAssure SP.

All four ingredients in the ReAssure SP formula are designed to continue the tradition of AIM’s outstanding prostate health product, and prostate health is as important now more than ever.

According to figures from the Cleveland Clinic, half of all men will have symptoms of benign prostate hyperplasia by the age of 50, and that number increases to 80 percent by the age of 60. Benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) is a non-cancerous prostate enlargement, and BPH, along with prostatitis (an inflammation of the prostate gland) is a serious concern for men as they age.

There is definitely a need for “reassurance,” and AIM has remained equipped to help with the prostate needs of men, as well as offer solutions for women’s bladder health.

ReAssure SP, with its new formula of saw palmetto oil, lycopene, zinc, and pumpkin seed oil, is designed with your health in mind.

And that’s a promise that will never change.

AIM ReAssure SP – Men's Prostate Health

ReAssureAIM ReAssure® with rye pollen. What an effective and unique product from The AIM Companies™. Why would we ever change this simple formula? A product, by the way, that has proven effective for those who use it.

Although the first documented prostate treatment with pollen extracts occurred more than 40 years ago, many government regulatory agencies still don’t recognize it as a traditional treatment today. AIM employed and consulted with a team of researchers and experts to assist us in gaining government approval of rye pollen as an effective ingredient. We compiled extensive research on this extract, including both animal studies and clinical trials. However, our efforts were not rewarded and we were forced to decide to either remove ReAssure from the AIM product line or to adapt.

AIM can point to years of effective relief from prostate issues with ReAssure. No telling how many men and women have benefited from the product, but it has to be tens of thousands. Government regulators can’t take that from us.

Well, anyway, we had to make a change, a task that was not taken lightly or without a lot of thought and discussion. We have gone to great lengths to research the efficacy, safety, and acceptance of ingredients to world markets. As a result of these efforts, we created AIM ReAssure® SP, a prostate health formula with decades of ingredient efficacy and safety research.

Saw palmetto has been used for prostate treatment for more than 100 years and has gained regulatory recognition. Rather than fighting the uphill bureaucratic battle attempting to gain approval for a pollen, we’ve chosen to reformulate ReAssure.

The saw palmetto that AIM uses is not the one that some AIM Members report they have tried with little or no success. What’s going on here? Isn’t one saw palmetto just like another?supplement facts

Or, expressed differently, what kind of saw palmetto works and which ones don’t? The verdict is in the science and the type of saw palmetto used. Simply, oil is better than a berry powder.

The majority of clinical studies and research has focused on saw palmetto berry oil extracts at 320 mg per serving. For example, the Journal of the American Medical Association reported that 320 mg a day of saw palmetto oil extract improves urinary symptoms as effectively as prescription drugs. This is the same amount of saw palmetto oil extract found in ReAssure SP.

The saw palmetto used in most prostate health supplements today contains only saw palmetto berry powder or juice powder. Saw palmetto berry powder or juice are low cost alternatives to an oil extract and contain little or none of the fatty acids and plant sterols that provide benefits to the prostate. AIM’s oil extract is standardized to 85 percent total fatty acid content and is tested to assure the presence of the plant sterols sitosterol and campesterol. Both of these sterols, as an added product benefit, have been found to block the absorption of cholesterol through the intestine.

The ReAssure SP saw palmetto oil extract is standardized to 85 percent fatty acid content, pure virgin pumpkin seed oil produced by cold-press and filtration, 100 percent of the daily value from zinc citrate, and a tomato extract standardized to 7 percent lycopene. We have no hesitancy in offering a new ReAssure to our Members. It is a potent prostate formula at an affordable cost.

The end of the rye pollen ReAssure and the beginning of the saw palmetto ReAssure SP overlap so both products will be available until the rye pollen inventory is exhausted.

Talk about endurance …

Army chaplain’s physical fitness score improves

Once a month it is there. Each month, every month. It is part of Army life at Fort Drum, New York, the Army’s primary cold-weather training facility. The physical fitness test – a 2-mile run, push-ups, and sit-ups. There is a possible 300 points. The higher the score, the better the performance.

For Major Gregory Distad, a chaplain in the Army and the son of AIM Members Herbert and Verna Distad of Brownstown, Pennsylvania, the monthly test is not something he worries about failing but he is competitive and wants to do as well as he can. Such is life in a top-notch infantry brigade. He is now 51. You would not expect his score to improve much month-to-month. Gregory has been an AIM product consumer for years. AIM BarleyLife® is the base of his AIM regimen but he also uses AIM Just Carrots®, AIM RediBeets®, AIM Herbal Fiberblend®, AIM ReAssure®, AIM GinkgoSense™, and AIM PrepZymes®. He is especially fond of AIM BarleyLife® for its nutrient value and of AIM Herbal Fiberblend® for its cleansing properties.
But this month was different. He had been taking a new product from AIM, AIM Peak Endurance®. He read the literature and its ingredients made sense to him – ATP is the primary energy source for the cells and the body’s ability to produce ATP is lost through age, stress, and exercise; six B vitamins to derive energy from carbohydrates, build muscle, and to aid in metabolism; vitamin C, the all-important metabolic vitamin; five electrolytes – calcium, sodium, magnesium, chloride, and potassium – to help conduct electrical currents in the body; and phosphorous to aid in the growth and repair of body tissue. All this good stuff, naturally grape-flavored with only a single gram of sugar. Clearly, a smorgasbord of quality ingredients. But the proof is in the results. How would he do now that he was taking AIM Peak Endurance®?

Well, he knocked more than a minute off his previous 2-mile run time. He did well with the push-ups and the sit-ups. He scored 300 points out of a possible 300. “I have to believe that the AIM Peak Endurance® provided me with the fuel to perform better during the physical training program,” he says.

He adds that he feels AIM Peak Endurance®, as with all AIM products, “works best when taken in combination. There is a synergistic effect.” His view is in harmony with the advice offered by AIM: AIM BarleyLife® is the fuel your body needs, AIM Peak Endurance® is the spark to ignite the fuel.

Gregory and wife Elaine have four children – Tyler, 19; Charity, 16; Adam, 13; and Ashley, 9. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Divinity from Bob Jones University and he is a certified financial planner. He chose the military “to have the opportunity to minister as a chaplain and to financially provide for my family.” As an Army chaplain, “my main mission is to engage in conversation about the need for a savior.” He is committed to the words of Mark 8:36. “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul?”

Gregory views his stay on Earth as an opportunity to be a “good steward of my time, talents, and treasure. A steward doesn’t own anything, but he is a manager,” adding that “our body is part of that stewardship, and we need to do our best to take care of it …” To that end, Gregory says, “I believe the AIM products provide vital nutrients that help build a base for health and personal well-being. I feel more energetic and alert when I use the AIM products.”
