The value of all-natural, vegetable nutrition

April is the month for Earth Day, but any time of year is worth celebrating whole-food nutrition, greens, and natural health.

In order to match the nutritive power of the AIM Garden Trio®, you would need two to three servings of green vegetables to equal a single serving of AIM BarleyLife®. As for concentrated nutrition, it takes twenty-five pounds of carrots to equal one pound of AIM Just Carrots®, and twenty-five pounds of beets to equal one pound AIM RediBeets®.

If all-natural, vegetable nutrition is your aim, then the Garden Trio is the ultimate solution.

The benefits of fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet

Earth Day, observed on April 22 this year, promotes awareness of our natural environment, and AIM represents the finest natural nutrition on our planet. Eating right can make all the difference.

Consider that consumption of fruits and green leafy vegetables has a wide-ranging effect on overall health — everything from a simple boost of energy and well-being to possible reductions of many types of diseases. In fact, an online article from Stanford Medicine maintains that fruits and vegetables containing phytochemicals may deter cancer growth.

Another way of viewing the importance of fruits and vegetables is to examine a diet without them. Those who consume a low amount of fruits and vegetables, especially in proportion to animal protein and bad carbohydrates, run a higher risk of acidosis. An acidic body can result in a variety of ailments: lethargy, respiratory problems, chest pain, bone loss, and more. On top of this, choosing processed foods filled with sugars and additives instead of wholesome, natural choices can lead to diabetes and obesity.

Juicing

Many people who recognize the importance of fruits and vegetables turn to juicing to
ensure they get as much nutrition in their diet as possible. Juicing provides a concentration of nutrients. Juices are ingested and assimilated within fifteen minutes, and this enables the nutrients to be used almost completely for the
nourishment of the cells.

The downside of juicing is the expense in terms of money, time, and effort. A better solution—for money, time, and effort—is AIM concentrates. Simply scoop, stir, and enjoy.

What AIM products have to offer

AIM’s garden of whole-food supplements contains only the best in all-natural, non-GMO ingredients.

BarleyLife is made from young barley leaves, the most nutritious plants on Earth. Of its many benefits, this ideal source of natural vitamins and minerals creates a healthy, alkalizing effect on body pH. BarleyLife contains the alkalizing minerals potassium, calcium, and magnesium, which neutralize acidic materials (accumulated in part from an industrialized diet) and help the body maintain acid-alkaline balance. AIM BarleyLife® Xtra is an additional nutritional option.

Just Carrots, made from 100 percent natural carrot juice, contains 420 percent of the
Recommended Daily Allowance of vitamin A per serving in the form of alpha- and beta-carotene. Vitamin A is a valuable companion to the Healthy Cell Concept™ as it helps
strengthen the immune system and promote cell growth.

RediBeets red beet juice powder counts betaine among its many nutrients. Betaine plays a role in reducing homocysteine levels; high levels of homocysteine often accompany cardiovascular disease.

For the most effective, efficient form of natural, whole-food health, AIM supplements like the Garden Trio provide you with life-giving, plant nutrients from the Earth—every day.

How to keep on top of your nutrition this summer

Summertime and the living is easy … and active. It’s a time of picnics and barbecues to be enjoyed in warm weather under blue skies. Traveling, camping, and hiking are just a few seasonal interests that translate into being on the go. When you are busily involved in summer activities, there can be a tendency to forget about healthy eating. Instead of grabbing fast food and soft drinks, make a decision to keep your nutrition up this summer.

The Garden Trio®

With vegetable gardens already in bloom, some of the best food that nature has to offer grows beneath the summer sun. This is why the harvest of nutrients in the AIM Garden Trio® has been available to AIM Members for over two decades … no matter what the season. Comprised of AIM BarleyLife®, AIM Just Carrots®, and AIM RediBeets®, this trio of whole-food powder concentrates is also a harvest of energy for the get-up-and-go you’ll need for a summer full of fun.

AIM BarleyLife®

When you take energizing BarleyLife on an empty stomach every day, it’s like saying, “I love you, my tummy.” Of course, you don’t have to say this out loud (unless you feel you must …) because actions speak louder than words. And the action of putting BarleyLife’s vitamins, minerals, chlorophyll, antioxidants, and so much more into your empty stomach is like depositing green, liquid gold into your body’s good health bank account. Of course, you can also mix it with Just Carrots and RediBeets, or you can think of them as a three-course meal to be savored individually and power you for whatever summertime has to offer.

AIM also offers something extra for those who enjoy their BarleyLife on the sweeter side.

AIM BarleyLife® Xtra provides the nutritional richness of BarleyLife with a combination of seventeen fruit and vegetable powders that help sweeten the pot. Add some crushed ice, cold water, and BarleyLife Xtra to a Nutrition That Works! Blender Bottle (5818E) and shake up a delightfully refreshing, summer beverage.

AIM Just Carrots®

Along with an energy boost of natural vitamins and minerals, Just Carrots provides visionary nutrients to help you keep your eye on what’s coming at you on the baseball field of life … or maybe just a curveball during a baseball game on a summer’s eve. Carrots provide a trio of eye-quenching antioxidants — beta carotene, alpha-carotene, and lutein—that protect your body and eyes from free radical damage. And Just Carrots’s concentrated juice powder puts these potent protectors to work in a refreshing summer beverage—just mix with cold water and drink.

AIM RediBeets®

When you’re feeling beat on a hot summer’s day, RediBeets can be the deep red, refreshing boost of nutrition that your body needs to get back in the game. Besides a rich source of vitamins and minerals, you can’t beat beets as a vegetable source of powerful antioxidants known as betalains. An abstract published online by Pub Med reports that because of betalains, “red beet products used regularly in the diet may provide protection against certain oxidative stress-related disorders in humans.” Although this sounds far too serious for a summer full of fun, get serious about the benefits of RediBeets.

Keeping nutrition UP this summer and throughout the year is vital to living well. If aging and disease are seen as an impenetrable lock, one of the keys to prevention or reversal is giving your body the widest variety of antioxidants that you can. The Garden Trio gives you this in spades along with a vegetable source of nutritional wealth that your body cannot afford to be without … whatever the season of your life.

I joined The AIM Companies™ on March 30, 1998. I had been taking the Garden Trio before that for about a year or two. I have faithfully taken it every day since then with exception of vacations or when I don’t get a chance to, but mostly I do. The Garden trio is a great way to start the day for me as it supplies all my necessary nutrients. I sometimes go all morning into the afternoon with just that. Sometimes I eat breakfast when I have time. I am sixty-four years young, and basically I feel great. I work part-time and take care of my mother who is ninety. My husband also takes the Garden Trio. He starts his morning
with it before he goes to work. He is seventy years young.

Daily vegetable servings made easy with AIM products

It comes as no surprise that North Americans do not consume enough vegetables. As recently as 2010, a report claimed that barely a quarter of adults reach three or more servings per day, let alone the suggested nine servings per day. But what may come as a surprise to many is how easy it is to get to nine servings. All it takes is a little help from AIM.

AIM’s collection of whole-food concentrates includes the AIM Garden Trio®—
AIM BarleyLife®, AIM Just Carrots®, and AIM RediBeets®—and newcomer AIM Veggie D™, which was introduced to the product lineup this spring. Combined, the four products make it easy for the average adult to get the recommended nine servings of fruit and vegetables each day. And with the savory flavor of Veggie D, the concentrates mixed together have a full, robust flavor that makes getting your veggies that much easier, and tastier.

Veggie D features 126 percent of the U.S. Daily Recommended Intake of vitamin D from an all-natural, vegan source—mushrooms. The shiitake and button mushroom blend combines with lycopene-rich tomato powder and twelve vegetable powders to make a savory drink mix that tastes great on its own,
or mixed into sauces and soups.

Each of the four vegetable concentrates fit within the whole-food concept, helping to keep nutrition at a maximum by providing only whole vegetable ingredients—no need for added vitamin or mineral mixes. Likewise, the whole-food flavors complement each other nicely. For instance, the Veggie D blend helps cut the sweetness of the Trio (from natural sugar in the vegetables), making for a milder taste.

If you are already taking the Garden Trio, adding Veggie D would give it a tasty, healthful boost.

Another way to increase vegetable servings would be to include Veggie D in your favorite recipes. Mixing Veggie D into favorite recipes not only adds a new taste profile but also additional healthy ingredients. Heating enhances the bioavailability of the lycopene in Veggie D by four times, and it contains many heat-stable minerals and vitamins, including vitamin D, potassium, iron, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, copper, and manganese. As well, the gluten-free allpurpose flour and pizza crust mix offer a great opportunity to be creative with AIM products.

If you or someone you know has trouble reaching the right amount of vegetable servings per day, give AIM’s whole-food concentrates a try, and taste what a difference AIM nutrition can make.

In October 2010, my doctor ordered blood work that revealed high levels of fatty liver—alkaline phosphatase. I then started a regimen of AIM RediBeets® as I hadread on the datasheet that this product is good for the liver. When I went to see my physician for the results of my new blood work, my levels had dropped twenty-two points to within normal range! (See full story in September US Health Headlines.)

Beet juice helps in creation of red blood cells

New studies show the benefits don’t stop there.

Recent research has found that the increased blood flow can have a positive impact on brain health, too. Scientists at Wake Forest University in Winsont-Salem, North Carolina, determined that the increased blood flow to the brain due to beet supplementation improved brain health and helped lower the risk of dementia. Their study involved participants age seventy and over who alternated between breakfasts high in nitrates (a naturally occurring form of nitrogen) and low in nitrates.Measurements of each group of participants showed that the high-nitrate diet boosted blood flow to the white matter of the frontal lobes, a location often associated with dementia.

The brain boosting power of beets goes right along with a long list of other beet benefits. For example, an improvement in circulation brought on by beet nutrients correlates to a lowered risk of high blood pressure. And not to mention the fact that beets increase the body’s production of glutathione, which helps with detoxification.

The list goes on, and the benefits can be traced to the remarkable amount of nutrition found in this vegetable. Not only do you receive the benefits of concentrated nutrients you also receive the full benefit of easy assimilation.

AIM RediBeets® provides the juicing benefitswithout the juicing cost. One of three all-natural, vegetable juice powder concentrates that make up the AIm Garden Trio®, Redibeets packs a halfpound of beets into a single serving. Combined with the benefits of barley and carrots, the Garden Trio provides a full range of vitamins and nutrients that can get your blood flowing and boost your brain power.
